Woodcut printing
I carved my designs on a wooden block, applied ink to the raised surface and then transferred my image onto paper by pressing the block onto it.
Intaglio printing
Contrary to woodcut, I carved my design onto a zinc plate and then wiped away the ink leaving only the engraved lines. When the plate is pressed onto paper, the ink from these lines transfers to the paper, creating a raised image.
